South Bend School District

Focus: Education - Youth Engagement
2018-2019 Member: 
Site Supervisor: Adrianne Lartz
Site Location: South Bend High School
Description: Assist with youth outreach and the coordination and execution of pro-social activities, tutoring, and educational growth for youth within SBSD. Homework Club will be offered at least three daysa week, with at least one morning
session before school. Member will assist and interact with the students and assist them with schoolwork, arranging a tutor if requested or needed.

Description: After school one-on-one educational help that will provide individual educational assistance to the elementary students and provide pro social after school programming. Members also serve in the class will be expected to help with the community garden, teach youth groups about healthy eating, and educate the community about nutrition.

Big Brothers Big Sisters North County Site

Focus: Education - Engagement
2018-2019 Member: Mercedes Lamphier
Site Supervisor: Robyn Handley
Site Location: North County School Districts 
Description: Strengthen the capacity of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Washington to serve children, ages 6 – 18 years, in North Pacific County facing adverse life circumstances by cultivating a cadre of quality volunteers to serve as mentors to be matched with at-risk youth. Create innovative programming for these youth and volunteers and strengthen existing programming. This member will also work closely with First Lutheran Church and South Bend School System to help with their programming.

 
Requirements: Completed 4 year undergraduate degree. Experience working with youth is preferred thought not required.

Site Location:: Naselle School District & Big Brothers Big Sisters Office in Long Beach
Description: Strengthen the capacity of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Washington to serve children, ages 6 – 18 years, in South Pacific County facing adverse life circumstances by cultivating a cadre of quality volunteers to serve as mentors to be matched with at-risk youth. This member will also serve at Naselle School to assist with their Sources of Strength Programming as well as running a Girls Circle Program at the school.

 
Requirements: Completed 4 year undergraduate degree. Experience working with youth is preferred thought not required.
